Hi AIESEC!

PBoX HIV AIDS next event is, HIV AIDS CAMPAIGN!

Today we already done our second event. And our event was run so cool!

In HIV AIDS Campaign, we had a long march from Governor office untill RRI Padang and back to Governor Office again.

Our event was supported by governor and all of the governor office staff. After had an morning exercise in Governor office, AIESECers and all participant join with Governor ‘World AIDS DAY’ event. In this Governor event, our LCP, Haris Dwi Putra had a chance to speech in front of Governor office staff.

And we didn’t forget to collect name and comment from all of participant about HIV AIDS.

Our long march was opened by Province Secretary and we start the long march.

During the way, we spread the brochure about HIV AIDS and shout out the dangerous of HIV AIDS.

In RRI padang, we collect name and comment again, and Julie, our trainee from Austalia had a speech.

This is a part of Julie’s speech:

“Today, we live our days in fear of unsafety. It is not a wonderful place anymore like when God created a heavenly nature for us providing plenty of food and shelter for all humans. Human greed has destroyed the planet as we have to cope with many threats, such as war, terrorism, pollution, disasters and disease. Now, HIV is rising as one of the most horrible pandemics, as research says the disease is spreading at unprecedently accelerated speed.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-driven organization in over 107 countries with over 50.000 members. We are devoted to put our power together in order to develop our world and improve our lives. The HIV campaign in Padang is a powerfull local action of efforts to protect the city as a HIV free zone and we believe in reaching to our neighbors in the world.

Here, I would like to ask for every possible support from the members of the community. Please join us in our efforts to STOP HIV movement. We can make a difference.”

Waaaa. GOOD JOB Julie. That’s really a great speech. What Julie said in her speech was right. The people in another country is really aware and focus to face HIV AIDS, why we can’t be like them?

OUR EVENT : OPENING SEMINAR PBoX HIV AIDS “From Us To All”

How do you feel?

This is our first external event in PBoX HIV AIDS.

Our Opening seminar held in Lapau Gadang Bank Indonesia, 28^th November, 2010.

In this opening seminar, we talk about HIV AIDS and will have question and answer with our participant. We have a professional external speaker from KPA (Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS). And thank you to our beloved BoA, bapak Asnawi Bahar to attend in our event.

We have guest from West Sumatra Governor, because governor is really interest with our project and really aware with HIV AIDS in West Sumatra.

Our participant consist of senior high school students, college student and nursing school students. They look really serious to join this seminar and to face HIV AIDS.

After this opening seminar Opened, the external speaker start his presentation about HIV AIDS. He give us many knowledge about HIV AIDS that we can’t get in another place. We know about HIV, know about AIDS, how HIV spread, why HIV can spread and many others knowledge.

After the external speaker give a presentation about HIV AIDS, not only participant, but AIESEECers have many question in their head. HIV AIDS is global issue this world, not only Indonesia, but another country have the same problem.

We not only discuss with Indonesian people, but we have a trainee from Australia and Russia.

Our trainee have their own performance.

Albina from Russia, have an artistic performance with UKS Unand, she play her saxophone and sing an Indonesian song.

Julie have a presentation about her country, Australia and HIV AIDS in Australia.

Diana from Australia, conduct the game session in our Opening Seminar. She is really spiritfull and make our event really interesting.

We really work hard in one day. Each OC work based on job description. And we really appreciate all people that already come in our Opening Seminar.

The Story Behind Making Promotion Video PBoX HIV AIDS “From Us To All”

The one thing that I want to share now is, the process in making our Promotion Video is really unforgettable!

Haha

Seriously, no kidding.

After discuss with OC , how to make an amazing promotion video, we start to make the materials that we need in promotion video. Yorie is the mom of creativity. She conduct all the thing that have to cut, draw, design, and many others. And another OC discuss the place, time and the clothes to make this video.

This video is supposed to release in TFT, but, because something that we can’t say, this video will launching in our Opening Seminar. Eventhough we late to release our video, but we sure, you will never regret watch this video.
